It’s finally here: our very first wedding videography workshop, ‘Every Frame A Painting’. Designed to level up your skill by improving your understanding of the theory behind the choices that we make: why you do what you do. In the workshop we’ll focus on two things: the creative approach and the business side of things. We’ll teach you everything you’ll need to know to not only create amazing films, but also to run a successful business. We’ll show you how to use storytelling to create compelling edits, and how a little preparation can go a long way. We’ll teach you the single most important thing we have learned, and how it transformed both our films and our business.
Most weddings are very challenging – they almost never go as planned. Being able to not only improvise, but to anticipate will help you to gain more confidence, which will massively improve your work. By focusing not just on the practical side of things, we offer a workshop where anybody could learn a thing our two – photographers too. We’ll tell you everything we know, without holding back. We’ll tell you about the things we had to learn the hard way – the things we wished someone would have told us when we were just starting out. The good and the bad. Our style is characterized by beautiful cinematography mixed with captivating storytelling, with a focus on real, pure emotion. We have always felt the need to innovate: to create something that we ourselves think is perfect, rather than to go along with traditions or trends. That ended up with our unique blend of documentary and cinematography: something we call wedding cinema.

Our background in journalism as well as our personal backgrounds shows in our films – and that’s a good thing. It’s important to have a creative autograph. A deeper understanding of why you do what you do will help you to find and determine your style, and more importantly, your voice.

Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is for anyone with an interest in wedding videography. Only a basic understanding of your camera is required to attend the workshop. Concepts such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO should be nothing new to you. The workshop is also perfect for photographers who want to start making wedding videos. A photographer looks at composition and light in the same way we filmmakers do. Additional factors such as sound and editing are covered from A to Z.
During the workshop we dive deep into the theory. We give you the tools you need to start making wedding films, or to make your current films better. So we won't just talk about what material to use, how to record good audio, or how to edit a creative wedding film - in fact, the workshop will also talk a lot about the different choices you can make during this process. How do you get more clients? Which couples fit your style best? What do you like to do best? What - besides money - do you actually hope to get out of a wedding?
As a result, the groups attending the workshop are often very diverse - from beginners to professionals. So you can learn from each other as well as from us. Because the groups are small, there is plenty of personal attention for everyone - so you never go home with questions.
